History
of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey-Scholarship Fund:
Since
2003, the Chamber, through its successful fundraising programs has awarded over
$280,000 in Scholarships, utilizing an independent selection committee comprised
of New Jersey College Presidents or their designees. Each of the 35 four year
scholarships awarded from 2003-2007 is valued at $8,000, disbursed in $1,000
cash increments over eight semesters.
It
is the objective of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey to
annually award scholarships to deserving students.
The
support is continuous over a 4-year period providing that scholarship recipients
continue to meet the criteria that was established by our academia and advisory
committees. The applicants were selected through a review process that was
conducted by our selection committee.
