Street in Newark, NJ 07102, for an exciting business networking experience, geared to put small businesses and Inner City residents on the Fast Track to success! Over
2,500 individuals attended last year’s Convention.
Corporate America and Public Sector representatives will be on hand to talk with you about business and career opportunities as well as government resources to help you maximize your Success.
This year Career Fair 2008 will provide participating organizations with the opportunity to meet college students, professionals and inner city residents to identify them for internships, full-time jobs and career opportunities. The formidable purchasing power of the Hispanic Community has created a demand of employment opportunities by companies with the vision to serve this vast market. This is an opportunity to show a commitment to diversity in recruitment. SHCC considers employment an important factor in economic development of our communities and acts as a linkage between employers and career seekers.
On Friday, October 17th, an official ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by several
mayors, legislators and high profile individuals will kick-off our Expo Trade
Show. Workshops that includes such innovations as School Construction Program
certification process, commercial loans approvals -right here and then! "Hands On" Workshops offer helps for "On-Line" information technology and marketing, maximizing office efficiency through computerized office technology for your business success. Panelists will be
participating showing their latest hardware. Interactive browsing in the
Internet will be conducted.
Business Start-Up? Expansion? Thinking on Exporting? …A team of experts is ready with the answers to your needs. You will be able to see how to get SBA & EDA guarantee loans, micro loans and franchising opportunities.
This year SHCC will conduct a workshop on Home-Ownership
to inform participants on Federal & State programs designed to help new
homebuyers in the acquisition of their first home,
through
government incentives and grants to help on down payments.
Also, new this year SHCC will conduct a workshop on Financial Literacy that will teach the attendees everything from the basics about money and banks, to setting your own savings and investment goals, and much more.
"Participating in New Jersey's School Construction Program" Panelist will discuss the New Jersey Economic Development Authority's role in implementing the Educational Facilities Construction and Financing Act and what the NJEDA is doing to ensure the participation and expand the business opportunities of minorities and women in the school facilities projects it is managing. Panelist will also make presentation on New Jersey Transit Special Vendor Program. The U.S. Small Business Administration will be present to provide information in all programs.

America” and entrepreneur's representatives of the statewide network of
Hispanic-owned businesses in a unique initiative to expand the scope of doing
business globally.
The Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey has formed new partnerships in Latin America that will bring manufacturing and jobs back to our state, thus creating further economic development and business opportunities.
